We exist for the purpose of the advancement of the Kingdom of God as we seek to obey our Lord’s
command to go out and make disciples of all people. Our desire is to see souls won and saved for Christ, and at the same time making every effort to ensure that the people of God are maturing and growing in Christ-likeness. We believe that this is achieved when the Bible is the preeminent, overwhelming source of influence in our lives. For this reason, we make every effort to teach, admonish and train one another to know, love and keep the Word of God.
With the use of our distinct spiritual gifts, we desire to serve God in our various ministries so that we achieve the vision and direction which God has given to us.
Through our devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ, we are intent on sharing our faith with others, so that they too can become fully committed followers. We exist to honour God with our personal material resources by supporting the Church and extending help to those in need, locally, nationally and internationally.
The values of Village Church flow directly out of our love for God and His Word. We are who we are and do what we do, because we are overwhelmingly convinced from Scripture.
Our desire is to love what Christ Loves and to hate what He hates. We are convinced that we will only ever love people to the best and greatest of our abilities when we love them and serve them with Christ’s love.
Having the same priorities that Christ Jesus himself had is also a foundational truth which shapes our
values. Caring for the poor, the afflicted, the widow and the outcast was and is at the heart of our Lord. For this reason it is one of our core values that dramatically influences and determines what we do and don't do.
While we seek to help the needy through various acts of charity and love, our greatest concern is that all men be saved. For this reason, we place the highest level of value and importance on preaching the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to all people.
We understand that being like Jesus Christ to all men, is only ever going to be possible if we as a body are one in heart, mind and soul. For this reason, we highly value and prize self-sacrificing servanthood within the body of Christ. We challenge and encourage one another to continually be like our Lord by
laying down our lives for one another, with the underlying belief that the needs and welfare of others are of greater importance than our own.
We aim to be actively involved within the community, reaching out to those around us with the love,
compassion and care that we responsibly carry in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are seeking to help the community with its many needs and being ready to welcome those who are hurt, alone, helpless, and who desperately want answers to their questions about life and the salvation that is found in Christ Jesus.
Our desire is to see marriages and family relationships within the community flourish as God intended them to. Village Church has many caring couples and individuals who are able to bring solutions to those who are desperately trying to find them.
Our doors are always opened to those around us, and we aim to train and equip our congregation to be active, effective and positive in their capabilities to help others in our local community and beyond.
And Jesus came and said to them," All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
